Stones of Remembrance

Ebenezer
The Israelites had spent 40 years wandering in the wilderness because of their disobedience and disbelief.  When their punishment was over and the peoples’ hearts were right before the Lord, Joshua led them through the Jordan River and into the Promised Land (Joshua 4).  God instructed a representative from each Tribe to gather a stone from the Jordan that would be placed together and stand as a testimony to His redemption and faithfulness.

While we today might not have such physical reminders of God’s faithful actions on our behalf, remembering and declaring stories of His sovereign involvement produces the same effect on His children today.  It is true for us as individuals as well as a congregation.  That’s why we want to share Montage’s Stones of Remembrance.  This page will function like a historical narrative of God’s blessing and movement among us.

As we follow the Lord into a hope-filled future, we want to include these stories as reminders of His continued love and faithfulness.  Feel free to email us and let us know about God’s blessing and redemptive work in your life, the life of your family, and the life of Montage.
