Life together is better!
One of the best ways to connect with people at Montage is through our Life Groups. It gives people a chance to meet on a weekly or semi-monthly basis and deepen their relationships with one another and with God. While some churches refer to them as small groups, flock groups, or home fellowships, we call them Life Groups because we believe that sharing life together is essential for helping us grow in our walk with the Lord.
The basis for this ministry is found in Acts 2:42 where it tells us that those in the Early Church were “continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer.”
While each group has their own particular feel, these four elements will be seen no matter which Montage Life Group a person is a part of. Teaching is important because we all need to be grounded in the Word of God. Fellowship is essential because we all need tangible encouragement and love. Breaking bread is important because when we share a meal together, it opens up opportunities for communication and building relationships. Finally, prayer is a hallmark of every Life Group because seeking God’s blessing and guidance for people is one of the greatest expressions of love that we can give them.
